I HOPU

I attend the International House of Prayer University in Grandview Mo please feel free to check out the web site http://www.ihop.org/ihopu/. I started Fall of 2011. This is a four Year dedication for me. I am going to school for Ministry. Here is a little more back ground about school…

Ministry School

The Ministry School at IHOPU is a full-time Bible school, which exists to equip this generation in the Word and the power of the Spirit for the bold proclamation of the Lord Jesus and His kingdom. Our students embrace in-depth biblical training in the context of a thriving missions base fueled by 24/7 prayer with worship. As a result, theological education obtained in the classroom is connected to intimacy with Jesus and practical service and outreach, including works of justice and acts of compassion.

Our goal is to equip believers to win the lost, heal the sick, plant churches and houses of prayer, and seek to impact all areas of our society.

The times are urgent, our need is great. We believe it is time to bring theological education together with corporate prayer, fasting, worship, healing, and prophecy. In the context of 24/7 worship-based prayer, our vision is to train leaders, singers, musicians, intercessors, church planters, teachers, and those called to the marketplace.

The Ministry School’s curriculum combines biblical study with practical discipleship and mentoring through an effective small group structure. Our one-, two-, and three-year certificates and four-year diploma prepare students for ministry in all areas.
Programs of Study
Forerunner Program: Freshmen and Sophomores

Freshman and sophomore students of the Ministry School follow the Forerunner Program which helps students cultivate a lifestyle of prayer and fasting and a love for the Word of God in the context of day-and-night prayer. Our desire is to see every student discipled through regular interaction with leaders and fellow students as they reach for the fullness of God’s destiny in their lives. Students are taught, equipped, and mentored in healing, prophecy, and deliverance. It is our aim that upon completion of this program, every student will have a two-year history in engaged prayer, regular fasting, and the Word of God, and be further equipped to minister in the power of the Holy Spirit.

During their first semester, all incoming IHOPU students follow the Forerunner Curriculum, a foundational, one-semester, general program of study required to proceed with studies at IHOPU.

Upon completing this one-year program in Kansas City, students may choose to continue in another program at IHOPU or apply to join IHOP–KC staff.
Biblical and Theological Studies Program: Juniors and Seniors

Juniors and seniors follow the Biblical and Theological Studies Program, choosing one of four concentrations.

House of Prayer Leadership
Theological training; practical equipping; and development of leadership, team-building, and communication skills prepare students to serve the prayer movement, whether by planting or participating in houses of prayer or by building up prayer ministry in a church setting.

Healing and Prophecy
Students learn what the Bible teaches about operating in the gifts of healing and prophecy, and the practical details of how to develop these ministries in the power of the Holy Spirit and care for others with wisdom and accountability.

Children and Youth Ministry
Students prepare to help children and youth to encounter the Lord, enjoy prayer, and experience the power of the Holy Spirit, communicating effectively with them at different stages of their development.

Justice Ministry
Forming a biblical, Christ-centered message of justice in students and giving them practical training prepares them to engage in intercession-based works of justice on behalf of the needy and the oppressed in diverse settings.

As I fully had every intention on completing school, our family has grown and our season has changes I will not be going to school at this time. I will continue in Full Time ministry at the House of Prayer KC.
